Tracking the Lion of Judah

with Mala, Grey and Timothy

Meet Mala

Mala is an antelope called an Impala. Impala are extremely adaptive to their environment. Because they are so smart and survive so well in most areas they are the most seen antelope in Africa. They eat leaves, berries, grass and pretty much anything that grows. For protection Impala live in herds from 20 to over 100. This provides safety in numbers. Mala has no horns because only males have horns.

Mala became a character in our stories because she is cautious and adaptable. Just like her real character trait, Mala thinks before she acts. Going on adventures with Grey and Timothy, Mala provides the sense of reason in difficult situations to help bring about the best possible outcome.

Meet Grey

Grey is a bird known as a Grey Lourie. Perching on the top of trees he loves to eat berries and fruits. He also spends time on the ground eating termites and other crawlies. As Grey loves to sit on the tops of trees he has a great vantage point to see approaching danger. He has a screech that sounds like “GO-AWAY or G-AWAY.” This call alerts other creatures to seek safety. This call became so popular that they eventually changed his name to the ‘GREY GO-AWAY-BIRD”.

Grey became a character because he shows all the traits of HOLY SPIRIT in our lives. Grey seeks the tops of trees to make others aware of approaching danger. Holy Spirit serves as a guide to make decisions to guide us to avoid dangerous situations. Tops of trees and being able to fly allows Grey to see ahead of everything else, and provide guidance to others on the ground for the best possible and safe route.

Meet Timothy

Timothy is an Africa Wild Dog also known as Africa’s Painted Predator. Even though they are called a ‘dog’ they are not related to dogs. One main difference is that Wild Dogs only have four front toes. Wild Dog packs are smart problem solvers, work as team in whatever they do, and energetic which means always on the move. Everything they do is for the benefit of the pack. From hunting together, caring for older dogs, and raising newborn pups.

Timothy became a character in our story because he cares for others. His motives are to help others grow.
