Connecting Conservation with Community Development
WORLD RANGER DAY

Each year Son Safaris runs a #WorldRangerDay campaign to assist with ranger needs in Kwazulu, Natal, South Africa. Our partner, Wild Tomorrow Fund started back in 2015 with the sole purpose of supporting rangers, and now have our recently declared Greater Ukuwela Nature Reserve and we have a team of rangers to support along with other reserves in our region.
We reached out to the reserves in our region to see what their ranger needs were. The list we received back totaled over $80,000 in items.
Rangers are quite literally the boots on the ground protecting this region’s wildlife and wild places. We would like to show our support for them by fulfilling just a few of their much needed needs.

Safari ranger Fledge Fiamingo is the founder of Son Safaris. Through speaking at live events, writing encouraging devotionals, recording inspirational podcasts, and hosting creation care mission trips to South Africa, Fledge shares exciting wildlife stories and experiences which act as a lens to focus on timeless biblical truth. Join a team.
Experience God in a whole new way by serving on one of our teams in South Africa. Our teams stay on a private game reserve for the duration of their trip. Each team is hosted by safari ranger Fledge Fiamingo. Teams assist the game reserve with conservation projects and connections with local communities.
